Youth Survival Manual – Love

This is a Love Manual, and not a sex manual as are many so-called love manuals. Some young people become confused as to the difference between love and sex, which is not surprising when having sex is often described as “making love”, when it can be far from that. This manual deals with love, not sex.

Love is the basis of all truly satisfying relationships. This manual adopted a practical “hands on” approach how to improve relationships for young people. I developed many of its principles by observing youngsters in school (as a teacher) and more particularly in a dynamic youth group Harvest, of which I was an adult leader.

To try to relate better to young readers, I included lots of simple cartoons and a few self-assessment exercises. While some of the language and examples may have dated, the principles hold true.
